We are proud of our customer service and liberal return policy, as we want you to be satisfied. Therefore, we are pleased to offer the Cane Creek 110-Series Headset. This headset boasts a 110-year no-questions-asked warranty, making it a dependable and great-looking option to add style and performance to your bike.
The 110-Series Headset begins with Cane Creek machining the cups from custom-drawn, US-made seamless 7075 aluminum tube. Each part has been relieved of excess material, inside and out, to keep the weight to a bare minimum while retaining the strength you'll depend on. These cups house the stainless steel sealed cartridge bearings, both of which use Cane Creek's proprietary split-lip seals to keep the grease in and contaminants out. These seals run smoothly against the races with a minimum of drag, ensuring your steering feel will be rock solid, yet responsive to the lightest touch on the bars. It's quite possible that dirt and muck will never even reach the bearing seals.
The 110 Headset includes low-friction seals on the top bearing cover and on the crown race, effectively sealing the cup and bearing contained within. Another advantageous detail of the 110 is the captured compression ring under the top bearing cover, which facilitates easy assembly and eliminates the possibility of rocking or creaking, regardless of the small variations often found in steerer tube diameters. For lightweight carbon fiber steerer tubes, the extra surface area over other systems ensures a damage-free compressive junction.
In addition to its technical features, the 110-Series Headset may also be appreciated for its jewel-like quality, with a highly polished finish and rich anodized colors. The Cane Creek 110-Series Headset is designed to mate a fork with a 1-1/8" straight steerer to a head tube having a 34mm I.D. on top and bottom.
The 7075 T-6 internally contoured and relieved cups and covers minimize weight and maximize strength, and the headset is cut in Cane Creek's Fletcher, NC manufacturing facility. The top-quality polishing, anodizing, and laser etching further enhance the visual appeal of this high-performance component. The "Dual-Seal" 7075 T-6 aluminum crown race provides maximum sealing efficiency, while the updated compression ring design further enhances "carbon friendly" uses by evenly distributing clamping forces on the steerer.
